PASTOR MULLERY JEAN-PIERRE

Mullery Jean-Pierre is the Pastor of Beraca Baptist Church located in Brooklyn NY. When he was called out of corporate America, he left his management position at a Wall Street firm and never looked back. He served a small congregation of about 80 members for over two years without taking a salary but simply trusting the Lord. Under his leadership Beraca Baptist Church grew in to a multicultural congregation of 1400 members in 3 locations with congregants from 20 different nationalities. Born in Haiti to a Haitian father and a Dominican mother, marrying a Jamaican wife, having a Puerto Rican daughter-in-law, an African American son-in-law and a Trinidadian sister-in-law, Mullery feels right at home leading a multicultural congregation.

As his desire to reach the community grew, He founded the Beraca Community Development Corporation (BCDC). His work in the community includes: youth development programs, food pantry, serving their local seniors adult day care center, providing employment and mentoring for youths in the church and local high schools. With the Brooklyn Districts Attorney’s office Alternative Sentencing Program, they provide alternative forms of rehabilitation to those who’ve committed misdemeanors.

In Haiti, Mullery extended BCDC with 3 offices serving seven cities: Leogane, Cabaret, Port Salut, Jeremie, Jacmel, Canan and Cape Haitian. They are planting churches, developing leaders (1700), creating jobs (2000) through their motorcycle taxis and micro loan programs and providing medical clinics in these

His leadership has gained the recognition from the media, NGO’s, and government agencies. His work has been written about in the local and international newspapers including the NY Times and HAARET Israelis newspaper and has been referenced in several books. He was featured on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), Public Broadcasting Network (PBS) and several radio programs. Mullery has lead invocational prayers for the New York City Mayors office. As an influential Christian leader, he was invited to the World Vision summit at the White House. At the request of the Department of Housing (DOH) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington DC Mullery was invited to discuss advancing services to the local church.

Believing that the church is the catalyst for healing the racial divide in the United States, Pastor Jean-Pierre founded United Praise NYC to bridge the gap between cultures and ethnicities in the United States, challenging the church to lead the way toward unity, solidarity and reconciliation. Using internationally acclaimed Christian artists United Praise have rallied believers from around the world to lead the charge in racial reconciliation.

His International work has received a Congressional Record from the United States House of Representatives and an International Humanitarian Award from the United Nations and the European Union. His service to his community has received over 20 citations from elected officials.

Mullery Serves as the Vice President of the 69th Precinct Clergy Council where they bridge the gap between Cops and Community. Together the Clergy and the police officers gather monthly on street corners to pray for the community…

Mullery is on the Executive Board of Converge World Wide’s board of trustees. He also serves as the director of Converge World Wide’s Haitian Ministry Expansion Team where his priorities are church planting and church strengthening. With an active schedule, Mullery’s priority is to his wife Cacheta, six children and seven grandchildren.
